Arthi Bharadwaj

Arthi Bharadwaj is an alumna of the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor and is currently a medical student at UIC. She grew up learning ballet, tap, jazz, and Bharatanatyam, and enjoyed mixing these various styles while experimenting with choreography. In her freshman year of college, she joined a Bollywood-fusion dance team, Michigan Manzil, through which she gained exposure to the various South Asian styles of dance. During her time with Manzil, she served as lead and captain, and also had the opportunity to compete at both Bollywood America and Legends. Arthi is excited to be re-joining the dance community in Chicago and get back to choreographing!

NIRMESH 'dragon' gollamandala

Nirmesh ‘Dragon’ Gollamandala has a double masters in design and technology. He’s a first generation bboy from India having strong foundation in Breakin and street styles since 2012. He has competed with battle and performing crews including The MOD project (Chicago), savage 512 (ATX), RSU crew (India) and Proximity crew (India). He performed and won titles with MOD at WOD 2019 and Legends 2022, with Savage 512 at Bboy city Texas and at Battle of the year qualifiers in India with proximity crew. His free style flow, philosophy. His technique is malleable and can be applied to any performing art. Currently he’s experimenting with theater and street styles.

AKSHAYA annamalai

Akshaya Annamalai is an alumna of Christ University, Bangalore and now based out of Chicago. Akshaya began her training in dance at the age of 5, under the tutelage of Guru Smt. Shrividhya Sundaresan and Mr. Yuvaraj Jayakumar, Trichy, India. She’s professionally trained in bharathnatyam and contemporary but she loves it all. This newbie-to-town is beyond excited to share her creativity with the Chicago dance fraternity.

NAMRATA PALSULE

Namrata Palsule was first introduced to Bhangra in college at the University of Miami. While in graduate school, she helped start an alumni team, Florida Bhangra Crew, and has continued to compete with other groups after moving to Chicago. Bhangra has given her a chance to build relationships, stay active, and learn a additional art form.

JOSH GILLANI

Josh Gillani is a Marquette Alumn who currently owns/operates restaurant franchises. He was apart of Marquette Mazaa for 3 seasons and captained his senior year. Josh started to dance in college and hasn’t stopped since! Come get a look at his creative take on Bollywood fusion!!

PRERNA BAJAJ

Prerna Bajaj is born and raised in Calcutta, India and now staying in USA since 2016. She learned Bharatnatyam (Indian Classical Dance) at the age of 5 but quickly found interest in Hip Hop. She trains professionally in Hip Hop in Chicago but loves to choreograph fusing with Bollywood style. She is part of a crew in Chicago and has participated in WOD in 2019 and 2021 and many other state competitions. Her goal is to keep learning from new choreographers and keep teaching in different parts of the world.
