Triple threat is a dance trio based in Chicago specializing in Bollywood fusion, bhangra, and hip-hop. They started their journey competing in the Bollywood fusion dance circuit performing on Nazaara, MOD, and Chicago Adaa. When the music starts, Triple Threat can’t stop!

Reshma is a graduate of Univ. of Illinois at Chicago and is now practicing dentistry in the northwest suburbs of Chicago. She grew up training in Bharatnatyam and also loves raas/garba and Bollywood fusion. In college, she was on UIC Dangeraas for 3 years and Chicago Adaa her last year.

Bolly-Hop

Yash is an alum of Illinois Tech University and is currently working as a QA engineer in Chicago. He loves to choreograph and mix in north and south-Indian dance style flavors and is heavily influenced by 90’s Bollywood and old-school hip-hop. He has competed in national competitions like WOD with MOD and was with the Meher Dance Company for the last 2 years. He is very excited to teach his style of dance at the upcoming workshop and have some fun.

WEEK 4
BOLLYWOOD Duo
Areesha majeed & RIaz gillani

Areesha is an alumna of Northwestern University and danced on and led Northwestern Deeva. She grew up dancing Bollywood and Contemporary which are her favorite styles. Post graduation she found herself missing dance, so she co-founded Chicago Tempo! ​

Riaz is an alumnus of UIUC and is currently a Special Education high school teacher in Glenview. His favorite styles are Bollywood and hip hop! Early in undergrad, Riaz danced on and led UIUC Fizaa. He then went on to create and lead Haus of Chiefs!
This class will be taught as a duo but you're welcome to come with or without a partner!

Kevin started dancing when he was very young, but his passion for the art really took off in college in the form of Marquette Mazaa for four years where he was captain. His absolute favorite style is kuthu because Ihegrew up watching and being inspired by dancers like Prabhu Deva, Vijay, Allu Arjun, and Jr. NTR. Although the style is constantly evolving, his favorite aspect of it is its high-energy, folkish nature which he aims to capture at this workshop!
