Mission Statement
Chicago Tempo is an initiative for Chicago dancers to come together and learn from one another in a non-competitive and fun environment. With a focus on South-Asian dance styles (such as Bollywood, bhangra & Indian classical dance) coupled with additional western styles like contemporary and hip-hop, dancers will be able to continue engaging in their passion for dance amidst their personal lives. Chicago Tempo focuses on providing a consistent and comfortable space for people to grow as dancers while fostering a Chicago dance community. Post our college experience, we found ourselves missing the ability to learn and teach various dance styles, and the opportunity to meet other people; Chicago Tempo will fill that gap.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
Seasons | Chicago Tempo will operate in seasons. Seasons consist of 6-12 weeks.

Workshop Based | Each season will contain different dance workshops each featuring a different style and a different choreographer from the Chicagoland area. Most workshops will be at an intermediate level. Check out our workshops under the 'Workshops' tab.

Registration | Season registration, if live, can be accessed via the 'Workshop's tab. Single workshops are $15 with occasional bundle offerings. Registration is on a first come first serve basis and classes do have a capacity. Registration is not complete until both payment and the registration form is submitted.

COVID-19 | All COVID-19 guidelines will be adjusted based on the current climate.

Location & Timing & Parking | Classes will be held in-person at a studio at The Puzzle Box Studio located at 3360 North Elston Avenue, Chicago, IL 60618 on various Sunday mornings and afternoons - exact dates and times are season dependent.

Choreographers | Our team selects choreographers to ensure that we have a diverse group of people, backgrounds, and styles. If you're interested in being a choreographer for a future season, please visit the contact us page to submit a form and we will get back to you.

Additional Details | You'll be receiving more details regarding your registered date and time as well as any workshop specific details in an email before your selected workshop. Future workshops for this season will be released as the date nears.

Refund Policy | Refunds are only offered if cancellation occurs via email at least three days prior to the workshop.
